The International Journal of Educational Researchers - IJERs is a peer reviewed journal. Submitted manuscript are evaluated by at least two reviewer (the double-blind system). The Review Process is completed within 1-3 months, depending on the intensity of the journal.
Blind review is a procedure used to ensure that submissions of the highest possible quality get published. Many scholarly publications favor this approach, which is essential to the impartial examination of research papers. The quality of IJER publications is influenced by reviewer opinions. The following procedures are followed for the blind evaluation of every paper submitted to IJERs:
Blind Review Method
IJERs employs the double blind review method in the review process of all submitted manuscripts. In this method the identities of the authors and reviewers are confidential.
Initial Review Process
The editors of IJERs first assess the studies that have been submitted. Studies that do not align with the goals and scope of the journal, are poorly written, lack originality, include serious scientific errors, and do not satisfy the requirements for publication are now denied. Within two months of the submission date, the decision is communicated to the authors of such research. On the other hand, studies that are approved are sent to two reviewers who have expertise in the area of the paper.
Assigning Reviewers
The studies' contents and the reviewers' areas of expertise are taken into consideration when assigning the reviewers. They are expected to offer an unbiased view. They should withdraw themselves from the evaluating process if they are unable to distinguish between the evaluation procedure and their own opinions or if there is a conflict of interest. The secrecy of the manuscript must be protected, and reviewers must make sure it is not shared or used in any way prior to publication.
Reviewer Reports
The reviews are generally based on the originality of the studies, the techniques, the ethical issues, the consistent presentation of the findings and outcomes, and the interpretation of the studies in relation to the body of literature. The following criteria are used for this evaluation:
Reviewing Process
There is a 6-week evaluation period for reviewers. Reviewers may request additional editing of a research if they think it is warranted.
Review Result
The editor takes a final choice about the study after evaluating the reviewers' remarks within 2 weeks, at the latest.
Editorial Board Decision
The board notifies the author(s) of the decision and any comments offered by the reviewers no later than one week after the selection has been made. Studies that are rejected for publication through this procedure are sent back without being checked for plagiarism. Based on the findings of the plagiarism detection report, the decision about accepted research is made in the end.
